Norwalk unveils its Purple Heart Monument at Veterans Park

Norwalk held a ceremony Saturday to unveil the city's Purple Heart Monument at Veterans Park.
The city became a Purple Heart City two years ago to honor one of the country's oldest military awards.
The medal is given to people wounded or killed as a result of enemy action while serving in the military.
Nearly 200 Norwalk individuals have been awarded a Purple Heart.
