Local summer camp programs are making changes as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The city of Norwalk is moving its Play and Learn summer camp online this year.
Recreation Department officials say its camps use school facilities, and distancing restrictions would have made it hard to serve the younger age groups in person.
Instead, the eight-week program will offer crafting and storytelling activities every day via Zoom.
Officials say they're also offering online activities for adults to help parents take a moment for themselves.
Ali Julian, camp director at Stratford's Sterling House Community Center, says campers this year will be broken up into small groups that they'll stick with for the whole session.

"We have 40-minute blocks, and we'll be rotating in between with enhanced cleaning," said Julian.

Julian says there will be plenty of sanitizer, but also plenty of fun outdoor activities.
