A mother and her son were discovered dead inside their Marble Hill apartment on Wednesday, according to police.
Officers say a 911 call about a foul odor at 5240 Broadway led them to find the decomposing bodies of 39-year-old Sharlene Santiago and her 10-year-old son Brian.
The NYPD says the medical examiner is working to determine the cause of their deaths.
