If you're planning to venture into the city this New Year's Eve, the NYPD suggests using public transit due to multiple street closures for the Times Square celebration.
Starting at 4 a.m. on Sunday, sections of Seventh Avenue, Broadway, and 43rd to 48th streets will close.
Additional closures will occur at 11 a.m., affecting parts of southbound 7th Avenue, Broadway, and 38th to 56th streets, alongside limited access on 5th, 6th, 8th, and 9th avenues for trucks.
On-street parking in the Midtown area will be extremely restricted as a result.
The NYPD emphasizes its continued vigilance against drunk driving through DWI patrols and checkpoints throughout the city.
