A second arrest has been made in connection with the Danbury Fair Mall shooting back on Aug. 11, officials say.
Derek Sotelo, 18, of Danbury, faces charges including reckless endangerment.
Police say he was part of a group of people looking to fight another group at the mall. They say he was armed with a hammer.
Surveillance video shows he presented it as a weapon, police say.
A 14-year-old boy turned himself in last week in connection with the shooting. He’s accused of firing a gun that struck a 15-year-old girl in the chest.
She is expected to survive.
