Police say the usually quiet areas of Weston and Redding got a fleeting glimpse of big-city crime when a Bridgeport man fled the scene of two separate car accidents before backing up into a police car, then fleeing on foot.Police say Jaime Gonzales had to be subdued with a Taser before they were able to take him into custody safely.Before police could get the man in handcuffs, they say he punched out the window of one of their squad cars.Authorities say Gonzales was taken to the hospital by ambulance, leaving stunned residents looking on in silence.
