Police say a fire was intentionally set at a Fairfield bar early Friday morning.
Flames ripped through the back of the Seagrape on Reef Road just after 4:30 a.m. The bar was closed at the time.
Fire officials say sprinklers inside the building were a help, and there was only minor damage to the building.
The property manager for both the Seagrape and The Inn at Fairfield Beach next door says the fire will not slow down business, but says the incident has caused a feeling of uneasiness.
A little over a week ago, police were at the Seagrape for an alleged bomb threat. Officials do not believe it was related to the blaze.
Fire officials are still determining the cause of the fire. Anyone with information is asked to call Fairfield police.
