Fire officials in Southbury launched an investigation into an early Sunday morning house fire on Burr Road.
They say the fire started on the back porch and the home owner put it out with a fire extinguisher before they arrived.
When they arrived at the scene, they ventilated the house and checked around to ensure that the fire had not spread.
No injuries were reported.
