A man was killed by a falling tree in Fairfield Wednesday, according to officials.
The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Jarrod Marotto of Southington.
It happened on Park Avenue near the intersection of Wilson Street, not far from the Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course.
Marotto was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. A construction crew was brought in and untangled the tree, wires and car.
This is the second time in a few weeks a man has been killed by a falling tree in Fairfield.
A 54-year-old man was killed by a falling tree in Fairfield on June 30.
