Officials say it occurred around 1:30 p.m. at 639 Summer St. Crews at the scene were able to locate the fire on the third floor and douse the flames within 20 minutes.

No one was hurt in an apartment fire that broke out Tuesday in downtown Stamford.
Officials say it occurred around 1:30 p.m. at 639 Summer St. Crews at the scene were able to locate the fire on the third floor and douse the flames within 20 minutes.
Crews remained in the area to help salvage the apartment, according to authorities.
The Stamford Fire Marshal's Office says the fire caused about $25,000 worth of damage.
