The program will encourage people to visit wineries and the Connecticut Wine Festival in July. The program runs through Nov. 3.
When people visit a participating winery, their passport is stamped. Once they earn at least 12 stamps, they're in the running to win prizes - including a trip to Spain.
"There's no better tool driving commerce than the passport, so we're thrilled to have both the paper version and obviously moving on to the app staying current," said Connecticut Vineyard and Winery Association President Jonathan Edwards. "I think that's one of the things Connecticut agriculture is doing so well is staying at the cutting edge."
There's also an app version of the passport.
