The NYPD was dispatched to 86th Street in Brooklyn for a pedestrian struck report Thursday morning.
Police say when they arrived at 2707 86th St. around 4:10 a.m., they discovered a 20-year-old man lying on the roadway. He was reported to have severe trauma. A 35-year-old man had a cut to the head.
Police confirmed the 20-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. The 35-year-old was moved to NYU Langone in stable condition.
According to police, the 20-year-old victim and 35-year-old were on a scooter without helmets at the time of the accident. The scooter struck the back of a rear unoccupied delivery truck that sent the two occupants onto the roadway.
