Dozens of agencies across Fairfield County are fighting to make sure they have the tools they need to help find homes for those without one.
Opening Doors Fairfield County held its first legislative roundtable discussion of the year.
The group says its goal is to make sure that all citizens in the region have access to safe, affordable housing.
The panel discussed topics such as ending veteran homelessness and spoke about challenges that lie ahead.
Supportive Housing Works executive director David Rich says there's a prediction that there's going to be a surge in homelessness in 2022.
Leaders from the YMCA in Bridgeport and Operation Hope in Fairfield also spoke during the forum.
They're hoping lawmakers will keep some things in mind ahead of the upcoming legislative session.
