The Orange Volunteer Fire Department, which normally makes one-third of its revenue from an annual carnival, teamed up with Golf Lounge 18 for a different kind of fundraiser.
The lounge is holding the 50K Firetruck Challenge, where you can pay $5 for three swings and the chance to win a round of 18 holes of golf with a cart at the Orange Hills Country Club and free time at the lounge in the future.
Paul Wilson, of Golf Lounge 18, helped organize the event.
Fire Chief Vaughan Dumas says his department had to find creative ways to raise money to pay $50,000 for a new fire truck.
The fundraiser will be held Sunday.
