People who work outdoors in Norwalk tried to keep cool and stay hydrated in the heat Thursday.
The heat and humidity made it a tough day for everyone, especially those working outdoors. Juan Martinez, the owner of a taco truck, said the heat was so intense that it felt like he was working in hell. He said the fan and air conditioner just couldn't get the job done.
Also trying to stay cool was Jose Valdovinos, who is a construction worker and landscaper. He said he envies the clients who get to sit in their air-conditioned homes. He said some people are very kind and do offer him water.
Customers said they are grateful to those battling the elements outside.
