Over 100 veterans were honored with a holiday dinner today in Stratford.

Although only 80 vets were expected to attend the event, more than a hundred showed up to be honored for the holidays at the Stratford VFW Post 9460.

The guest of honor, Senator Richard Blumenthal, said that the veterans have helped clear the path to a safer world, and that their legacy is set in stone.

Organizers say that this was the biggest turnout they have ever had.
