More than 100 people still struggling to collect unemployment connected Wednesday over Zoom with a state senator to discuss their challenges.

Independent contractors are one group having trouble navigating the new benefit created for them.

One court reporter has started a Facebook group with more than 2,000 people trying to support each other in the process.

The Zoom meeting was led by Sen. Tony Hwang. Hwang says if people are having issues collecting they can find links to help them on his website or contact their local state officials.
