Overdose deaths in Connecticut continue to fall, with 990 people dying from an overdose last year.
That's down from 1,338 deaths in 2023. It marks the third straight year the number has declined, according to the state Department of Public Health.
Gov. Ned Lamont said the numbers are still far too many, but says the decline shows that lifesaving efforts are making a difference.
