Nighttime roadwork on the Merritt Parkway is due to begin Monday night.

Drivers can expect construction between the Congress Street overpass in Fairfield all the way to the Newtown Turnpike in Westport, causing nightly lane closures in both directions.

Contractors will begin to improve routes 15 and 11 in the aforementioned towns.

There could also be closures of exits 41 and 42 that would be announced later.
