Severe weather blasted Fairfield County with damaging winds and torrential rains.  

Downed tree limbs and wires across the region made for a messy commute as roadways were blocked or covered in debris.

Flash flood and high wind warnings were issued across the region, and wind advisories are in effect for Fairfield and New Haven counties.

Eversource crews also responded to thousands of outages reported in Westport and New Canaan.
