The owner of a horse farm in Easton is now facing criminal charges for animal cruelty.
Last month, the state seized five horses from Pee Wee Horse Farm claiming the owner, Paul Vittorio, had neglected them.
Vittorio told News 12 Connecticut then that the state misunderstood his "hands off" approach to horses that were nearing the end of their lives.
Police say Vittorio turned himself in yesterday.
