The owners of Fairfield County's only medical marijuana dispensary in Bethel answered questions from residents Tuesday night at a public meeting.
The dispensary's owners, Angela D'Amico and Karen Barski, held the meeting to answer questions and share information about the center. The owners were awarded one of six licenses in the state, and town officials approved their application last week.
Pharmacists, cancer patients and dispensaries from other states spoke at the meeting about medical marijuana.
The center, which will be called Compassionate Care of Connecticut, will open later this year on Garella Road. The town zoning board will meet again about the issue in mid-June.
D'Amico and Barski promised residents they will have surveillance video, security and will not be cash only.
A total of 375 patients have received a medical marijuana license in Fairfield County.
