People of all faiths joined Muslims in New Haven to support members of a mosque that was burned down on Sunday.
The vigil Thursday, was organized by Muslim Coalition of Connecticut board member Fahd Syed.
Syed says that hate crimes against Muslims must come to a stop. As a Muslim, he says there's not a day where he isn't worried about the hatred against his community.
Police believe the fire was an intentional act of arson.
An official from the Turkish consulate in Boston will be in New Haven on Friday.
The mosque's damages add up to a total of $500,000. A
GoFundMe page has been set up by a local resident who attended the mosque
