PerkinElmer has announced its plans to permanently close its manufacturing facility in Shelton.
The biotech firm said the shutdown will take place in phases, with operations scheduled to end April 1, 2026.
A total of 68 employees will lose their jobs as part of the closure.
PerkinElmer did not provide specific details about the reason for the decision but noted that the process will be carried out gradually.
