Police say three motorcyclists were traveling east on Cedar Lane when the minor stood up on his dirt bike, lost balance and fell on the roadway, which caused his helmet to come off.

7ds agoA 17-year-old was sent to the hospital after a motorcycle accident in Torrington Sunday afternoon.
Police say three motorcyclists were traveling east on Cedar Lane when the minor stood up on his dirt bike, lost balance and fell on the roadway, which caused his helmet to come off.
The bike continued to travel by itself before striking one of the wheels of the other riders, which caused another rider to fall as well.
Authorities said the 17-year-old was in serious condition as of Sunday night.
The other driver denied any medical assistance.
