Stamford police say two men were shot in the city Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting happened before 4 p.m. Police set up a perimeter on Grant Avenue between Sherman and Sheridan streets.
Evidence markers were seen placed by shell casings and a shoe left at the scene. K-9 units were also present.
Authorities say the victims were found a block over on Lincoln Avenue, but it's not yet known how they wound up there.
The victims were taken to Stamford Hospital, where they were interviewed by police.
Authorities say the victims and the shooters knew each other. It was not immediately clear how many people were involved in the shooting.
Police say the victims are expected to be OK.
