At least two people were shot, and a woman was struck by a truck while running from gunfire at a Bridgeport block party on Memorial Day, police say.

At least two people were shot, and a woman was struck by a truck while running from gunfire at a Bridgeport block party on Memorial Day, police say.
The incident happened Monday on Willow Street near Clermont Avenue around 9:44 p.m.
Police officers were called for a report of shots fired, and requested several units for assistance due to a large crowd gathering in the street.
Police say a man wearing all black-colored clothing with a hoodie was seen with a handgun before fleeing the scene.
Police say a 31-year-old Bridgeport woman was struck by a pickup truck as she was running from gunfire.  
The woman was transported to Bridgeport Hospital and is listed in critical condition.
The operator of the pickup remained on the scene.
Police say a 33-year-old Bridgeport woman was shot in the chest and a 33-year-old Waterbury man was shot in the right shin.
Both are listed in stable condition at Bridgeport Hospital.
