A brazen daytime shooting left two teens injured across the street from a Bridgeport park Thursday, police say.
"They were just having fun," says Zena Galberth, whose son Tyrese was struck in the arm. "Next thing I know, I hear a lot of pops."
Police say the pops were gunfire on Norman Street early Thursday afternoon.
Galberth's son's friend was struck in the stomach, she says.
Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez says he plans to step up patrols and crack down on minor crimes to try and halt similar violence.
