Three people have been arrested for allegedly being involved in a shooting that injured four people at Seaside Park in Bridgeport Thursday.
Police Chief Roderick Porter tells News 12 it happened just after 6 p.m.
Porter says there was a crowd where shots were fired and four people were shot, with wounds to the leg.
They were taken to the hospital and were treated for injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
"Today because of the warmer weather, in an anticipation of large crowds, we had extra people on, in addition to our normal engagement details. So roughly we had 12 to 14 extra officers on today," said Porter.
Porter credits the fact that they had extra patrols out that they were able to respond so quickly.
