A Staples High School girls soccer coach was arrested after exposing himself to a teenage girl in Fairfield, police say.
David Sharpe, 29, of Fairfield, was arrested on a warrant for public indecency and breach of peace.
Sharpe is accused of exposing himself to a 16-year-old girl while inside of his car on Oct. 23. Police say the incident happened near Old Post Road and South Benson Road.
During their investigation, police say they learned Sharpe was a girls soccer coach at Staples High School in Westport.
Police say Sharpe resigned from his position after an interview with police and prior to his arrest. Investigators say Sharpe called the Staples High School Athletic Director and resigned without explanation.
Investigators say Sharpe may have also exposed himself to a second victim in Norwalk back in September.
He was released on a promise to appear and is expected to be in court on Dec. 13.
Sharpe's attorney, Michael Corsello, tells News 12 he will not comment on the case until he takes a look at the police report and has a discussion with his client.
News 12 reached out to Westport's superintendent of schools and the Staples High School athletic director for comment but has not heard back.
