Bridgeport police say they found a woman dead in her Pearl Harbor Street apartment Monday afternoon under "suspicious" circumstances.

It may be homicide, according to investigators, although an official cause of death was not immediately available.

"Her autopsy was scheduled for today, and once we get a preliminary report back from the medical examiner's office...we'll have a better idea of whether or not this is accidental," says Capt. Brian Fitzgerald.

Police say they had responded to a 911 call at the same address at least once before.
