A Bridgeport couple is facing charges after police say they stole from a store in Fairfield in hopes to sell the items to pay for the lease on their Mercedes.
Police say they arrested 25-year-old Precious Lewis and 26-year-old Jamie Johnson after they stole $1,400 worth of clothes from the Old Navy store on Black Rock Turnpike.
Officers say they found items from three other stores in the trunk of the couple's car when they arrested them.
