A Bridgeport man is recovering in the hospital after he was shot multiple times by two men attempting to rob him.

Bridgeport police say the incident happened on Wheeler Avenue just before 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Authorities say two masked men approached the victim, 22, and one shot him in the arms and legs.

They left the scene on foot before getting into a sedan.

Police say the shooter is a Black man who was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and light colored pants.

The victim is listed in stable condition.
