A student at Jettie S. Tisdale School, on the East End of Bridgeport, was arrested Tuesday for allegedly bringing a loaded gun onto campus, officials told News 12 Thursday. "My daughter, who's 9 years old, was very scared when she came home - and I asked my son what was going on," said Angelica Ramos. "I read the letter the school sent home with her, and once I understood the details, I was very happy to learn that everything was OK and nobody was hurt," she said. The school issued a statement saying, "all safety measures were followed" and the school "promptly alerted parents." The student who allegedly brought the gun onto campus was arrested without incident, the statement said. The school will hold a special meeting for parents to ask questions, and discuss security protocols, next Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the school, officials said.
