A Bridgeport teen is accused of firing a gun into a crowd of people outside a bodega while riding on the back of a scooter, police say.
The incident happened on June 5 outside a bodega near the Green Homes apartments. Police say the teen was a passenger on the scooter when he opened fire.
Police say though the suspect aimed directly at a crowd, nobody was struck by the gunfire.
The teen was later arrested after police used surveillance video to identify him.
"No matter who you are, if you're involved in this type of behavior, it doesn't matter if you're the shooter, the driver, or the passenger, we're coming after you," says Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez.
He is being held on $500,000 bond.
