A Shelton man incarcerated on domestic violence charges called a woman 70 times using fake names in violation of a protective order, police say.
Gordon Cole, 27, of Shelton, was already in prison charged with domestic violence and seven counts of violating a protective order earlier in December 2022.
Department of Corrections officials suspected Cole was using fake names to call a woman from prison.
Police say after an investigation, Cole was found to have called or received 70 calls in prison from the same victim who has a protective order against him.
Police say Cole used fake names to hide his true identity while making the calls.
He was charged with violation of a protective order and remains in prison on a $10,000 bond.
