Police in New Canaan were out in force today, cracking down on people who speed in school zones.
Officers say that they want to make sure that children coming and leaving school are safe.
"Bottom line, I just want people to slow down as they come through," says officer Brian Micena.
Police say that they will stop anyone they see speeding or ignoring crosswalks, and will issue tickets to anyone caught ignoring the flashing red lights of a school bus.
