Three people were hospitalized on Saturday night after a crash occurred on Route 8 near Exit 42.

Police say a car drove off the road and down an embankment.

Two helicopters from Life Star transported two people to a hospital. A third person was also transported by Burlington firefighters.

There is currently no word on their condition, according to authorities.

Route 8 was closed for a period after the accident but has since been reopened.
