Norwalk police arrested a suspect after a daylong standoff on Sable Street.
The normally quiet Woodward section of the city looked more like a combat zone on Monday.
A heavy police presence blocked off the street for most of the day and well into the evening, as a SWAT team tried to make an arrest.
"It’s really unheard of to see anything quite like this," neighbor Mark Boyd said. "It’s quite shocking.”
Norwalk police said one victim was transported to Norwalk Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
They say the suspect was uncooperative and would not surrender to police.
Viewer videos obtained by News 12 show the SWAT team's attempts to talk the suspect out of the Sable Street home.
Neighbors, perplexed by the amount of police activity, were hoping for a peaceful resolution.
Police said this was an isolated incident and that additional information will be released on Tuesday.
