A deceased dog was found with its legs bound together at the Czescik Marina earlier this week, officials say.
Animal Control reports that an officer responded to the marina around 3 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a call about a deceased dog covered in mud.
After the dog was removed from the mud, it was discovered that its front and hind legs were bound together with a shoe lace. Though observably malnourished, the dog did not appear to have further injuries.
The dog is described as an approximately 7-year-old male black American pit bull terrier with a white chest and white stripe down the front of his face.
Stamford police are investigating the incident, and are offering a cash reward of over $3,000 to anyone with information.
