The Penfield Pavilion in Fairfield was trashed and damaged earlier this week.
The Department of Public Works posted photos that show the pavilion's restrooms trashed with garbage, the mirror in the women's restroom smashed and a broken stall in the men's restroom.
Police say they've pulled surveillance video from the area.
No arrests have been made yet, but police believe that the vandals are juveniles.
First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick released a statement that reads in part, "I'm grateful to our Police Department who has already identified some of the individuals that caused damage to the public restrooms at Penfield Pavilion. Thanks to DPW, they are back open and operational. I hope this sends a message to others that this type of behavior will not be tolerated."
Police say they have increased patrols in the beach area to keep an eye on an uptick in juvenile activity, especially ahead of the road races this weekend.
