Marijuana plants were found in a Shelton home by police officers who were investigating a reported home invasion.
Shelton police say two intruders entered 43 Quaker Ridge Road around 10:30 a.m. and stole jewelry and other belongings from the man who lived there. He was home at the time.
Police had to wait for a search warrant before they could enter the home and investigate the invasion.
Police finally entered with a warrant at 3 p.m. and found the marijuana plants. They arrested the robbery victim on multiple drug charges.
Neighbors say two young children lived in the home. They also identify the man who lived there as a landscaper.
The robbery suspects fled in a gray Honda, police say. No one was injured.
