Officials say a fire caused severe damage to a barn and killed two roosters in New Milford.

The incident happened at Clatter Valley Farm on Town Farm Road. The farm collects membership fees from residents who use the land to produce fruits, vegetables, and organic meat that is then sold at its farmer's market.

A total of eight fire companies from surrounding towns were called in to help shuttle water to the scene.

No injuries were reported.
