Police say a man was hospitalized after he was shot in the hip early this morning in Bridgeport.
It happened at around 2 a.m. near Stratford Avenue by Fourth Street. Police say they found the victim, 35-year-old Gerard Davis, suffering from a gunshot wound to the hip.
Davis told police that he was going to his car when he heard a shot. However, a witness says Davis was involved in a scuffle when the shot rang out.
