A teen wielding a hatchet threatened customers at the Trumbull mall, according to witnesses who called police.

The teen was witnessed threatening customers inside the mall while holding a hatchet.

Police later located the teen from Bridgeport at a bus stop near the mall.

Police say the teen was concealing the hatchet inside of his waistband.

He was arrested and charged with breach of peace and possession of a deadly weapon. 

He was arrested and released to the custody of his mother.

The incident is just one of many over the weeks to take place at the mall which was recently sold to a New York real-estate firm.
