Police: Hit-and-run in Bridgeport leaves 44-year-old pedestrian in critical condition

This is the second hit-and-run reported on Chopsey Hill Road in less than 24 hours. Police said the first hit-and-run accident involved a 34-year-old male.

Bridgeport police said a pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by an SUV on Chopsey Hill Road in Bridgeport on Tuesday.
It happened around 2:53 a.m.
Police said a 44-year-old male was lying on the road after being hit by a car that fled the scene.
He was transported to St. Vincent's Medical Center and is listed in critical condition.
