Police say a Bridgeport homeowner shot a man trying to break into his house Thursday.
The Connecticut Post reports the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. on Rainbow Road.
Police searched the area for the suspect before later finding him on Barnum Avenue.
The intruder was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
