Police identified a man Sunday who they say was run over by tractor-trailer in Bridgeport and found in the middle of the road.
Authorities say the incident began when the driver of the tractor-trailer, from Michigan, picked up 56-year-old Ricardo Rose for a drug deal.
Police say the driver refused to pay Rose for the crack he was buying. They say Rose then stepped out of the truck and onto the running board when the driver sped up.
They say Rose, of Prospect Street, fell off and was run over.
Police say the driver and his girlfriend were later stopped at JFK Airport in New York City and cooperated with police.
Police say the driver has not yet been arrested, but say his girlfriend was arrested on drug charges.
