Police ID pedestrian killed Saturday in Stamford
Police say Nelly Ruiz, a 54-year-old Stamford resident, was crossing High Ridge Road from the east side of the street to the west side of the street when they were struck.

Stamford police have released the identity of the pedestrian who died after being hit last weekend while crossing High Ridge Road.
They say Nelly Ruiz, a 54-year-old Stamford resident, was crossing High Ridge Road from the east side of the street to the west side of the street when they were struck.
Police say they responded to the accident Saturday night around 10:30 p.m. and found the woman with critical injuries.
They say the driver who hit her remained on the scene and was cooperative.
