Ridgefield police have identified the child who died in a hot car Monday.
Officers say the father of Benjamin Seitz parked his vehicle at 38A Grove St. where he worked and left the boy inside instead of bringing him to day care like he was supposed to do.
Detectives are still conducting interviews to find out exactly how long the 15-month-old was left in the car.
Police say they received no 911 calls regarding this incident.
Officers previously said the father drove his son to Danbury Hospital after discovering him in the car at around 6 p.m. Monday.
The names of the parents have not been released.
